Tatra Ballooning is made up of three pilots - friends, visionaries and founders who, thanks to many years of domestic and international experience, decided to combine professionalism, safety and comfort into an experience for a lifetime. The main skeleton of the team consists of Matej, Tomáš and Vladim.
Matej
has extensive experience with balloon flying and has successfully launched one balloon project in the past. He is a balloon flight instructor and has also gathered his experience at the international level. During the winter season, for example, he worked in Marrakesh, Morocco, where he flew over the unique desert landscape. Today, he brings this experience to balloon flights around the Tatras, where he takes care of the safe and professional course of each flight.
Tomáš
he is one of the most experienced balloon pilots in Slovakia and has many hours in the air. He regularly expands his experience at the international level, where he participates in prestigious balloon events. These include, for example, the well-known festivals in Saga in Japan or Veľké Lúky in Russia. Today, he uses his rich experience in balloon flights around the Tatras, where he takes care of the safe and professional course of each flight.
Vladim
after obtaining a pilot's license for ballooning, he began to gather experience both at home and abroad. After the first years in Slovakia, he decided to expand his experience at the international level as well. For example, he flew in Canada, Kenya, Morocco and Tanzania, where he got to know the different conditions of ballooning around the world. Today, he uses this experience during balloon flights around the Tatras, where he participates in the safe and professional course of each flight.
During the years of flying in Slovakia and abroad, we gathered a lot of experience, which we turned into a unique product - a sightseeing balloon flight over the High Tatras. Today, we bring everything we have learned during our career to every flight, so that you can enjoy an experience that you can only experience with us in Poprad and around the Tatras. Together, we have more than 35 years of experience in balloon flying, we hold valid pilot licenses at the European level (EASA) and we regularly undergo professional training, medical examinations and test flights. Thanks to this, we meet all the requirements for safe and professional balloon flights. We also communicate fluently in English and, together with our team, we make sure that your balloon flight in the surroundings of the Tatras is a truly unforgettable experience. Our goal is to make you feel safe, comfortable and special during the entire flight - from the first welcome from our crew to the gentle landing.
