Tatra Ballooning is made up of three pilots — friends, visionaries and founders who, drawing on years of experience both at home and abroad, decided to combine professionalism, safety and comfort into an experience of a lifetime. The core of the team consists of Matej, Tomáš and Vladim.
Matej
has extensive experience in balloon flying and successfully launched a ballooning project in the past. He is a balloon flight instructor and has also gathered his experience at an international level. During the winter season he flew, for example, in Marrakech, Morocco, soaring over a uniquely beautiful desert landscape. Today he brings that experience to balloon flights around the High Tatras, where he ensures every flight runs safely and professionally.
Tomáš
is one of the most experienced balloon pilots in Slovakia, with a great many hours in the air. He regularly broadens his experience internationally by taking part in prestigious ballooning events, including the renowned festivals in Saga, Japan and Velikiye Luki, Russia. Today he puts his wealth of experience to use on balloon flights around the High Tatras, making sure every flight is safe and professionally run.
Vladim
after earning his balloon pilot licence, he began gaining experience both in Slovakia and abroad. Following his first years at home, he decided to expand his experience internationally. He has flown in Canada, Kenya, Morocco and Tanzania, getting to know a wide range of ballooning conditions around the world. Today he applies that experience to balloon flights around the High Tatras, helping to ensure every flight is safe and professional.
Over years of flying in Slovakia and abroad we have gathered a wealth of experience, which we have channelled into a truly unique product — a scenic balloon flight over the High Tatras. Everything we have learned throughout our careers now goes into every single flight, so you can enjoy an experience you will find nowhere else in Poprad and the High Tatras region. Together we have more than 35 years of ballooning experience, we hold valid pilot licences at European level (EASA) and we regularly complete professional training, medical examinations and proficiency check flights. As a result, we meet every requirement for the safe and professional operation of balloon flights. We are also fluent in English and, together with our team, we make sure your balloon flight in the High Tatras is a truly unforgettable experience. Our goal is for you to feel safe, comfortable and special throughout the entire flight — from the first welcome by our crew to the gentle landing.
